Renting a Vacation Home in Beautiful Central Texas

There are several parts of Texas worthy of visiting for your next vacation, but one of the most beautiful areas is in central Texas, often referred to as the hill country. This is the Austin/San Antonio area, where the flatlands end and the coastal plains have not yet taken over. The trees and rolling hills make an Austin, Texas home rental worthwhile for a vacation.

An Austin, Texas rental gives you access to sights like the capital building, as well as an active nightlife off Sixth Street and lots of excellent dining on both the north and south ends of town. The clubbing district is a huge draw for young people looking for a place to spend a weekend, especially for a senior trip. Austin is also full of outdoor activity. Numerous lakes mean that visitors seek out places to stay and enjoy water sports, and this means that you can expect to pay a pretty penny for an Austin real estate rental. Texas, though, by comparison to the rest of the nation, is much less expensive a place to spend a few days.

Other areas to secure a Texas hill country vacation rental include San Antonio and the nearby college town of San Marcos. San Antonio has a rich historical background that begins with the battle of the Alamo, part of which still stands today and is a favorite sight to visit when vacationing in the area. A rental home in San Antonio, Texas is also a great opportunity for those who wish to go river rafting or rock climbing through the many plateaus in the country out to the west. In choosing a rental home, San Antonio, Texas has a lot of various offers, including older homes, modern abodes, and Spanish style bungalows that are reminiscent of the early settlers in the area.

If you prefer to stay in a smaller town with fewer people and visitors while still having ready access to larger cities in the hill country, you may choose to secure a rental in Killeen, Texas. Here, you’ll be in close proximity to San Antonio and right by Austin. This city has much more of a small town feel that is relaxing and offers the chance for peace and stress relief while still maintaining a location convenient to the larger cities.

Wherever you choose to stay, you’re next vacation could very well be to the hill country in central Texas. Though the state is typically thought of as a prairie land or almost a desert, you’ll find that trees and hills make the central part of the state quite beautiful, drawing in crowds all the time. Join the crowds and see what central Texas has to offer you.
