Enjoying the Gulf with Great Texas Beach Rentals

If you decide to make a trip to the beach but don’t want to spend the outrageous cash to travel to Miami or the California coast, you may find what you are looking for in the Gulf of Mexico along the Texas coastline. Here, you can find a Texas beach rental for incredible prices and savings while still enjoying your fun in the sun.

While there are several areas along the Texas coast where you can find a beach house rental, Galveston, Texas is one of the most popular areas in the state to do so. Actually an island in the Gulf just south of Houston, Galveston has been a favored tourist location for decades. When you look for a rental, Galveston, Texas is full of various sizes and locations of beach houses and condos. The entire area was wiped out by a hurricane in 1900, and now you’ll find the various Texas beach house rental locations along the Sea Wall, the 20-foot-plus rock wall built to help protect against such disasters.

Galveston provides excellent beaches for sunbathing, sports like volleyball, and sand castle construction. You’ll find lots of shells to collect and various species of sand crabs and other interesting creatures along the coast for entertainment. The jetties off the coast allow for fishing and crabbing, as well. Deep sea fishing is a typical choice, and water sports include jet skiing, waterskiing and wakeboarding, and surfing. If you choose to secure a vacation rental, Galveston, Texas also offers some exciting historical locations, including eclectic shops along the Strand (a shopping district full of souvenirs and other interesting purchases) and museums. You can also visit Moody Gardens or even take a cruise through to the Caribbean from the port.

If you prefer, a Surfside, Texas beach rental can be found on the mainland side, still providing access to nice beaches and warm Gulf of Mexico waters. Surfside has a great collection of beach houses, including giant monstrosities excellent for family gatherings or senior trips. These huge beach house/condos have upwards of ten bedrooms and multiple bathrooms for a large number of people staying in one house.

A Crystal Beach, Texas rental could also provide an excellent vacation option. Located just northeast of Galveston and Surfside, this is a less well known beach area that is less populated and quieter for a relaxing environment. Because of lack of competition for excellent locations, a Crystal Beach, Texas beach house rental will also be a lot less expensive than the coveted beachfront locations in Surfside and Galveston.

Next time you plan a vacation to the coast, don’t waste large sums of money on the inflated prices in California and Miami. Check out the Texas coast, where you can swim in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico for a lot less out of pocket expense.
